RZA takes solace in his comic book persona; Bobby Digital to produce a new album entitled “Digi Snax” due later this summer. The first single “You Can’t Stop Me Now” has the instantly recognizable Wu sound with sampled guitar licks, dirty drum kicks and ominous chanting on the chorus complete with the late Ol Dirty Bastard’s drunken crooning. The video is a comic book inspired visual acid trip. Lyrically the song finds RZA in a retrospective state contemplating his street days and his early career achievements. The subject matter of early Wu leads one to believe maybe he was affected a little more by the voices of dissent then he leads on.
Nurai, a new development off of the coast of Abu Dhabi, is without a doubt the most exciting luxury real estate opportunity we’ve seen so far this year. Developed by Zaya, a new Abu Dhabi-based real estate joint venture, Nurai is a natural island located northeast of Abu Dhabi’s city center that is currently in the process of being transformed into a boutique luxury hotel resort with 60 suites, 31 beachfront estates and 36 water villas. Each of Nurai’s three residential model types, designed by New York based architects Studio Dror, comes with a range of unique luxury amenities like private beaches and gardens, infinity swimming pools, concealed service quarters, and outdoor showers.
Entertainment and recreation facilities on the island of Nurai will include three restaurants, multiple lounges, a private helipad and marina with arrivals lounge, and an ESPA spa and fitness center. Commute time to Abu Dhabi from the island is 25 minutes by boat and 5 minutes by helicopter.
Pre-sales for the development are going on now with prices ranging from about $3 million to over $22 million.
Musician. Producer. Songwriter. Lyricist. Psycho. Hippie. Genius. These words all connect through one name: Charles Hamilton. Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Charles Hamilton was exposed to music at an early age.
His mother always made sure he had an instrument around him. She put different kinds of instruments in the basement of their Cleveland home, but he naturally gravitated to the keyboard. Listening to other genres of music, being exposed to different cultures and experiencing life helped mold his musical sound. Most of his music is sample-driven. Though he catches quite a bit of heat for his sampling, he insists it is for the good of music.
His debut solo album, “The Pink Lavalamp,” is his way of illustrating his ideas for the future of music. “It is, without question, a hip-hop album,” says Hamilton. “At the same time, I embody different genres of music to express different feelings and emotions that I feel in my everyday life. My music is ALWAYS based on my life. My happiness, my sins, my heartbreak, my anger, my quirkiness, my everything is given in my music. The music I grew up listening to told a story. So I’m taking the music I grew up with, as well as my story, as well as my musicianship, to bring about a new sound. I don’t want to sound redundant and talk about myself all the time, but I hope my story can help someone else’s life. If my life were to be a movie, it would be the Antoine Fisher story all over again, but with a killer soundtrack and without a military background.”
CH now resides in Harlem, New York and is currently cooking something up with Pharrell. He is NOT signed with Star Trak Entertainment YET though. He is still on his own label: Demevolist Music Group/Interscope Records. CH is also hooked on the wholeSonic The Hedgehog theme which makes him super ill in my book. Stay tuned for more updates and information regarding this future hip-hop star.
